PAYREAL NET withdraws money from me every month: who are they and how can I stop them? - 4 questions / answers

4 questions / answers to understand
this bank charge

1/4 - Is PAYREAL NET debit a scam / card fraud?

You notice a debit corresponding to the title PAYREAL NET: this means that your bank card has been entered on a website and that you are (perhaps, without knowing it) subscribed to a service offered by the site. Who used your card? On which site ? Here are two things to know:

What site could this be? It is quite possible that it is about a service site (meetings, clairvoyance…) which proposes trial offers over 2 or 3 days for example. At the end of the offer, if you have not canceled the commitment, it turns into a renewable subscription each month.

Unless your bank card has disappeared (lost or stolen) and an evil person has used it to register on a website of this type, there is a good chance that YOU are at the origin of this subscription to PAYREAL NET. Very often, Internet users enter their card without realizing that behind the trial offer, hides a subscription (don't panic, you can cancel these withdrawals, that's what we'll see right away!)

In this sense, it cannot be considered to be card fraud.

2/4 - Where does the PAYREAL NET direct debit come from?

As explained above, this flow follows an internet subscription subscription.

Our diagnosis: It seems that the CB PAYREAL NET withdrawal is linked to a recurring subscription. You entered your bank details as part of an attractive trial offer (on a dating site for example) and you end up subscribed to the service because during the purchase, you validated their General Conditions of Sale which stipulate that the offer is based on a subscription.

Attention: who says recurring subscription says monthly withdrawals. If you no longer wish to be withdrawn, you must absolutely carry out termination procedures so as not to be withdrawn in the coming months.

3/4 - How to stop PAYREAL NET direct debits?

There are two ways to terminate PAYREAL NET bank debits and to end any current subscription:

- 'I want to do all these steps myself': the solution (free)

  1. Go through the billing platform or find the site linked to these debits (= the site on which you took a trial offer): on which site did you enter your credit card details?
  2. Once you have identified the site or platform, connect to it with your credentials
  3. Once logged in, you will usually find the unsubscribe procedure in the site settings or a contact link to ask your questions.

- 'I do not wish to carry out the procedures alone and I prefer to let a service provider manage the problem': you can go through a professional of the type Sos Internet to help you stop direct debits PAYREAL NET:

    1. They take care of the identification searches of the company that takes you from you
    2. They support you in the termination procedures
    3. They send you a confirmation email once everything is stopped
    4. Their services are chargeable (and 'effective or reimbursed' guarantees).

4/4 - Can I have my card canceled with my bank to stop CB PAYREAL NET direct debits?

As mentioned earlier, if you are still in possession of your bank card, it is very unlikely that it is a card hack: in this case, you have entered your bank details and have validated the T & Cs ( General Conditions of Sale) which informed you about a possible subscription: blocking the card would therefore mean not honoring a contract for which you have signed up. We therefore do not recommend blocking your credit card.

If it is a card fraud, that is, if the card has been physically lost and used by a third party, you can report it lost to your banker. You will also be able to open a fraud file to try toget a refund (this point is to be seen directly with your bank adviser).

What the law says ? : in March 2018, the court of cassation accepted the culpable negligence of a customer who had transmitted his data to a fraudulent site. This is the reason why a banker may refuse to block your card if you are the originator of the subscription.
