SAYOPAY appears on my bank statement: how do I cancel it?

this bank charge

Is the SAYOPAY direct debit a bank card scam fraud?

'I see this charge on my account and it comes back every month. I have no idea where it came from, so I don't know how to stop it. ' : if you take a debit from SAYOPAY, this means that your credit card has been entered on a website as part of a purchase or a competition for example (some sites ask for bank details under the pretext to send you your “gift.” Gift that you will never receive since it was in fact a pretext to subscribe to any online service and you withdraw sums every month).

Unless your payment method has disappeared (lost or stolen card) and a malicious person has used it to register on a website of this type, there is a good chance that you are at it. origin of this operation and therefore of this subscription to SAYOPAY.

In this sense, we cannot consider it a scam in the sense that it is not a bank card hack.

Where does the SAYOPAY direct debit come from?

As explained above, this speed follows an internet subscription.

Our diagnosis: It seems that the CB SAYOPAY withdrawal is linked to contests such as "Win a smartphone for 1 euro", "You won a trip", "You won cinema tickets" ... How do they work? You enter your bank details as part of one of these contests (to pay shipping costs, prove your identity or other reason ...) and you end up subscribed to any service. The company that manages SAYOPAY can thus charge you one or more amounts each month under the pretext of a subscription.

Please note: this direct debit is recurring. You must complete cancellation procedures to no longer be charged for the next few months.

How to stop SAYOPAY direct debits?

There are two solutions to stop withdrawals from SAYOPAY and terminate any subscription taken out against your will:

- 'I want to manage on my own': the solution (free)

  1. Identify the site at the origin of these withdrawals: on which site did you enter your bank card details?
  2. Once you have found the site, connect to it (if you have a current subscription with them, you have created an account in the past)
  3. Once logged in, you will usually find the unsubscribe procedure in the site settings

- 'I prefer to let a pro handle the problem': go through a service provider such as Sos Internet to help you stop direct debits SAYOPAY:

  1. They take care of the identification searches of the company that takes your money
  2. They carry out the termination procedures
  3. They send you a confirmation email once everything is stopped
  4. Can I block my card with my bank to stop the SAYOPAY charges?

If it is a card fraud, that is to say, if the card has been lost and used by a third party, you can declare it lost with your banker. You will also be able to open a fraud file to try to obtain a refund (this point is to be discussed directly with your bank advisor).

If you are still in possession of your card, it is very unlikely that it is a card hack: in this case, you have entered your bank details and have validated the GTC (General Conditions of Sale) which informed you about a possible subscription: blocking the card would therefore mean not honoring a contract for which you have signed up. We therefore do not recommend blocking your credit card. The legal point : in March 2018, the court of cassation accepted the culpable negligence of a customer who had transmitted his data to a fraudulent site. This is the reason why a banker may refuse to block your card if you are the originator of the subscription.

It is by registering for a Doodle to participate in a group, that the Medialoom site appeared as if it was mandatory to register for the Doodle! I entered my bank details to find later that this had generated subscriptions with withdrawals of 49 € beyond 2 hours, then 15 days, then in 32 days! With SayoPay and KuviPay! I will try to unsubscribe quickly to stop the withdrawals: it seems that for those beyond 2 hours it is too late!
