Why is ROSEFEES withdrawing money from me? How to stop withdrawals?

4 questions / answers to understand
this bank charge

1/4 Which company is taking me with the title ROSEFEES? Is this a scam?

ROSEFEES debits are linked to a subscription. ROSEFEES charges you because you have subscribed to an online service (dating? Competitions? Reduction sites? Video, series, video game sites ... there are thousands of sites that offer offers on the model subscription).

Did I get myself by a scam? This is a scam IF your bank card has been stolen and purchases made with it. If you still have your card, there is a good chance that you are the source of the ROSEFEES direct debits.

But I don't remember subscribing to anything! So here is what could have happened: you entered your card numbers as part of a trial offer, a competition, to pay the shipping costs of a gift ... and you did not not read the Site's Terms of Sale which stipulated that unless you refused, you would subscribe to their service.

This happens very often, if we are to believe the testimonials we collect on our site, but don't worry, we explain how to cancel the subscription !

2/4 How to terminate ROSEFEES?

Canceling ROSEFEES direct debits is free. You can carry out the formalities on your own directly online.

If you don't succeed (because you are lost, because you do not remember the origin of the subscription or for any other reason), it is possible to pass a termination assistance provider. For this we recommend I stop the costs!

This company helps you to identify the origin of the withdrawals and to stop them definitively. They can even help you get a refund when possible (be careful, refunds are unfortunately not systematic, because they are really on a case-by-case basis. On the other hand, when it comes to stopping direct debits / canceling of subscriptions, their services are guaranteed to be 100% effective or reimbursed.

3/4 Cancel a subscription with J'arrête les frais! : we tell you more

Would you like help ending ROSEFEES direct debits? Because you can't do it alone, because you are lost, because you don't have time… Good news! It is possible with I stop the costs! This service exists to simplify your life 😉

Why do we recommend it to you?

Most:

  1. Support from A to Z: investigation to find the site at the origin of the debits, termination procedures ... and all this in all languages (practical when the termination must be done in English for example!)
  2. When possible, 'I stop the costs!' helps you get reimbursed of all or part of the sums withdrawn (be careful, unfortunately this is not systematic because each case is unique. When a refund is possible, your account manager indicates it to you and begins the procedures for you as a bonus for termination procedures)
  3. All termination services are guaranteed '100% effective or refunded'

Cons:

  1. These services have a cost (count between 24,90 and 49,90 euros for a termination service)

4/4 Blocking your card to stop ROSEFEES direct debits: what does the bank think?

What the law says ? : in March 2018, the court of cassation accepted the culpable negligence of a customer who had transmitted his bank details to a fraudulent site. The bank had opposed his requests for reimbursement, accusing him of negligence in the custody and conservation of his personal data of the security system of payment instruments.

This court decision explains why a banker may refuse to block your card if you are the originator of the purchase.

If you are still in possession of your bank card, it is very unlikely that it is a card hack as explained above: blocking the card would therefore amount to not honoring a contract for which you signed up. We therefore do not recommend blocking your credit card but carrying out the online procedures to cancel the current subscription.

Fraud point: of course, if your card has actually been stolen from you and you are not the originator of the purchase, it is a card hack. In this case, do not hesitate to go and file a complaint. In some cases, you will also be able to open a fraud file with your banker to try toget a refund : this point is to be seen directly with your bank or your card issuer (Visa, Mastercard…).

Pssst!
